“Suzy’s presentation gave succinct advice for either the SEND Governor to ask or key points for any governor to look out for.”
“Suzy’s presentation touched me the most as a parent of a SEN child. All had relevant, thought provoking points.”
“Suzy stood out and brought items which I had not thought about.”
“Suzy Rowland’s presentation was particularly useful.”
Wow what a great session by @radiantlady @SENShowUK ParentCarerTeacherForu so much so I went to @SENBooks and bought SUZY’S book. A must read!
“Thank you for all your time and attention which has literally kept us afloat. Good luck with your next book. Harvey read about you in the autism magazine and was very happy he knew a famous person.
I may let you know what happens with the EHCP if that would be ok, we wouldn’t have kept it without your determination.”
Thank you so much for inviting me along. It was a very powerful session. It really reaffirmed the importance of having a space that is outside of both the CAHMS and school systems. There was a lot to contain, it felt really important for those in the group to be able to let out some of their personal difficulties and be heard. I felt like the session reaffirmed a lot for me and it has also made me more determined to push for more therapeutic as well as educational spaces for parents.
‘Reminders about our own mental health has been really useful, helped me vindicate my decision to give up my career. Hearing group speak has been very positive’
‘Thank you for your positive tips and suggestions”
‘Excellent tips, very useful session.”
‘Amazing, would love to have another session.’
“Suzy’s talk was great. It gave me a lot of information and ideas which apply to so many young people on my caseload right now. Thank you!”
“Thank you for a fabulous talk – loads to think about. I think the thing I took from it most was ensuring that schools are talking with and listening to the young person around their reasons for finding school difficult – ‘Doing with not to’.”
“It was interesting however I’m not sure how specific to SALTs it was. The vast majority of us don’t work in a way which allows us to build strong relationships with children – we get so little time with them.”
“Very insightful and useful for my role. I like the real examples used. I liked that there was plenty of opportunity for discussion and asking questions.”
“Suzy gave an excellent talk to our group. it was really informative and delivered in an accessible way with lots of opportunities to apply our learning to our own work. Thanks!
